Goin’ Down gets “Excellent” Review in SF Chronicle

Goin’ Down to Louisiana received a rating of “Excellent,” in the San Francisco Chronicle this past Sunday – their highest rating.

“Goin’ Down to Louisiana” is about much more than the past — it is hope for the future, good times right now and music that refuses to let you sit still,” says Joel Selvin, reviewer for the Chronicle. The album has consistently received great reviews world-wide and in increasing numbers since its April debut.

Allons Boire Un Coup CD Release Party

The Allons Boire un Coup CD release party is happening on December 1st at the Blue Moon Saloon featuring The Pine Leaf Boys and The Red Stick Ramblers! Recording is coming along nicely and the tracks are turning out great.

The Figs Join Valcour Records

Valcour Records will be releasing the debut record from the Figs, an all female old-time music band (to narrow it down probably too much). These Lafayette girls have been tearing it up around the local music scene and will be featured at the upcoming Black Pot Festival, of which Valcour is a sponsor.

Valcour Sponsors the Black Pot Festival
