Black Pot Fest Draws Nigh!

Black Pot Festival 2008Yes, folks, its that time of year again for music and food lovers of all ages to gather under the Oaks and Cypresses of Acadian village to enjoy phenomenal jambalaya, boudin, gumbo, and other sauces alongside some of the finest Cajun, Creole, and folk musicians from Louisiana and beyond. The festival takes place this weekend, October 24th and 25th, 2008. Cedric Watson, Feufollet, and the Figs will all be there as well as most of the artists from Allons Boire un Coup so you can definitely get your Valcour fix on.

As always, we will be hosting a stage at the festival that will feature rarely seen combinations of many of your favorite artists, playing stripped down tunes and just-for-fun collaborations.

October Artist of the Month: Podnahcast

An Irishman and a Cajun walk into a kitchen…

The punchline to that joke can be seen every Wednesday night as Tony Davoren and Toby Rodriguez talk about beer, food, music, festivals, and other finer items of interest from South Louisiana to Ireland. From the kitchen at Joel Savoy’s house, they host their weekly show featuring delicious black pot cuisine and a variety of musicians.
