Riley Family Band: La Vie De Riley

$8.99

Released in 2022.

La vie de Riley (The life of Riley) is the result of our family playing lots of music together over the past two years! For fun, for therapy & to support our household when livestream shows were the only shows we had. Witnessing the accelerated musical growth in our kids during that time was one of the biggest blessings of the pandemic! The constant support of our friends, family and fans who tuned into our shows fueled us to continue growing, learning and writing new songs together. The life of this Riley family is one centered around a love of good music and blood harmonies! This record is another proud step in our continuing musical journey!

Riley Family Band/La vie de Riley

The Riley household has always been one supported by live music performances that bring people together! It’s a home with instruments strewn about in every room with young boys regularly working on getting whatever melody is inside their heads onto the keyboard or fretboard of the instrument of their choosing. Sometimes they ask for help, but they’ve usually figured out most of it by the time they get to me.

The past two years have afforded us more time than ever to play music as a family. It was one of the blessings of the pandemic! It was also necessary to keep our household going when all dates on the calendar were disappearing, everyone was isolating, and the world as we knew it was changing rapidly.

Early on, like many musical friends, we decided to try our hand at livestream performances. On Sunday, March 22nd, 2020 we hosted our first Facebook Live show from our front porch at our home in Scott LA. The response and love from folks here and around the world was overwhelming and everyone seemed to know that we all needed the connection and support in the uncertain times that we were facing. For those of you who have tuned in to our livestreams, left comments and sent donations, we’re eternally grateful! You’ve been a huge help in sustaining us and making this record possible!

The original material on this record was inspired by what we’ve been through since March 2020 and the album, as a whole, is a reflection of the time we had to work on music during the pandemic. It’s been a huge blessing to have had Burke, Dolsy, Elise, and Katie to play music with over the past two years! I would have struggled greatly without the musical outlet that they and you provided.

May you enjoy the first Riley Family Band record as much as we enjoyed making it for you!
