A TRIBUTE TO THE KING OF ZYDECO
It’s that time of year again, y’all - SPRING FESTIVAL SEASON! It’s a great time of year in Louisiana to be out and about with friends and loved ones listening to music, dancing, and eating your weight in crawfish. With Festival International in Lafayette and Jazz Fest in New Orleans upon us (and the Breaux Bridge crawfish festival and many others right around the corner), we figured it was a great time of year to share exciting news about an upcoming tribute project featuring to the KING himself, Clifton Chenier, as well as a festival favorite recipe that is sure to get you in the spirit wherever you are. This behind the scenes look at the making of the upcoming tribute album features never before seen studio footage, interviews, and more. And if you’re lucky enough to be ATTENDING JazzFest this year, you can even catch the Clifton Chenier Centennial show at the Fais Do-Do stage on May 2nd! Featuring the “Dockside Allstars,” the house band from A Tribute to the King—including Roddie Romero, Eric Adcock, Derek Huston, Lee Allen Zeno, Jermaine Prejean, and Sherelle Chenier Mouton—as well as special guests C.J. Chenier, Sonny Landreth, Marcia Ball, and Curley Taylor, the 5:50 pm set may also include a surprise guest performance or two. Bon Festival à tous!
